Financial Assistance for Hospice Patients and Their Families
The Fragile First Foundation of Capstone Hospice provides financial assistance to hospice patients and families for things not covered under the Medicare/Medicaid Hospice benefit. The families who benefit do not have to a patient of Capstone Hospice. A hospice social worker makes the final determination regarding financial need.

The Fragile First Foundation is an approved 501(c)3 organization under guidelines established by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions to the Foundation are separate from Capstone Hospice’s general operating budget and are designed for the uncovered, and often unique, needs of hospice patience and their families in financial distress.

Our owner has almost 30 years of experience in the hospice industry in the Atlanta area. We incentivize Nurses and Nursing Assistants to achieve and maintain Certified Hospice & Palliative Nurse (CHPN & CHPNA) certification.

Assistance with burial/cremation costs
Non-emergency transportation for patients
Assistance with travel costs for family members to attend a funeral

Hiring paid caregivers (up to $500 per patient/family)
Granting a “Bucket-List” Last Wish
Assistance with licensed counseling for family members experiencing complicated grief
Medical supplies or equipment for a condition unrelated to a patient’s hospice diagnosis
